The Bay At Dusk - a poem by George about Holbaek Fjord, Denmark

The waves lapped gently on the rocks as birds fluttered by

While many colours in the dying light, protruded from the sky

As the evening air gave way to dusk, a stillness becalmed the bay

And I made sure that in my mind I would never let this moment fray

A lone seagull swooped and dived in the majestic sight

Then zoomed away, incredibly fast, into a pitch black night

We watched the golden sun go down, just like a sinking ship

Then we went back home to the caravan and had a well earned kip!
